The flames rode a PDO heater the whole season, way above average in shooting percentage and save percentage. Now we are seeing a regression to the mean. Things always even out. Too bad they got hot too early, now their season is over. Also if you look at the season standings, the Flames only won Glenmore 1 more game than the Oilers did despite a dreadful oilers stretch in Dec-Jan. Definitely not the better team than the Oilers.
