Radio Margaritaville is the best station on Sirius, imho. The music mix is always great—not only upbeat, but fresh and changing. Not just Jimmy (like some of the namesake channels), but a fantastic mix of music.
The thing keeping me from giving the channel five stars are the dj's — the worst offender being "Keeerstin Here" in that absolutely horrible little girl voice. A voice that should never be on the radio. Followed by one Sara West who seems to be a Keeerstin clone. JD is ok, not great. One of the other guys sounds muddy. Also with Keeerstin Here (never varies from that little girl chirp) listeners very much need the Info button turned on to actually figure out the names of songs and artists that might not be familiar. Her enunciation is that inarticulate — along with her cohorts — that who and what is playing is often incomrpehensible in their speech. Too fast and rushed (like aftereffects of ADD drugs, it sounds like), or too muddy and incoherent. They all need speech 101 classes. I'm just blown away at how bad some of these folks are and yet they are on the air — how does that happen? Why does Jimmy allow it? At times, the radio station must be changed when Keeerstin (never Kirstin, weirdly pronouncing her own name) comes on, or Sarah, or the Mighty Muddy-voiced man. Whatever. Fix the dj's and it's a perfect storm of a channel. Please do that, Jimmy, please!
