The Elegant Sound - Boston, MA

Great station, awkward name. Whenever I hear "the elegant sound" announced, it sounds like "the elephant sound". haha

Found a better station in Boston, that comes in in most of eastern mass. wjib, doesn't serve all of east mass. so i will listen to this new station and say good bye to wjib

When I was a graduate student at Boston University in the 1980s, I'd often find myself up late, late at night - studying, working, crunching numbers - and I'd turn on WJIB so I would not feel quite so all alone. I loved the sound of the ship's bell, or maybe it was the bell of a buoy.
