I have an old cassette recording of Christmas eve music on WJIB FM 97 from late 1980's or 1990 I suspect, that recently broke, and have (from memory) recreated many of the songs that played that night on a 90 min CD....I wonder if the Boston Globe, that I believe was part owner of the station with K Glenmore aiser have any audio archives from that time frame.

From Spain, thank you for the music, remembers me of school days back in the 50s when I heard this over radio stations run by US Forces all over Europe, most of which sadly were shut down. Thanks to you I also found out all about "ironside", not that of a TV series in the 60s.

When I was a graduate student at Boston University in the 1980s, I'd often find myself up late, late at night - studying, working, crunching numbers - and I'd turn on WJIB so I would not feel quite so all alone. I loved the sound of the ship's bell, or maybe it was the bell of a buoy.

Back in the 1980s when I was in graduate school at Boston University, I'd find myself up late, late at night doing work, crunching numbers, and I'd always have this station on, and I would not feel quite so lonely! I loved the sound of the ship's bell or perhaps it was the sound of a buoy bell.

I have fond memories of listening to WJIB when I was a teen. My mother would always have this station on during the day, and I vividly remember hearing the bell of the USS Constitution ring and the sounds of seagulls and waves crashing. It gave me a sense of "coming home". The music was always re Glenmore stful and relaxing, and so happy you have brought all those memories and musical treasures back to life! I'm only sad that it took me all this time to find you here on this site, but I'm making up for it by listening to this stream every day! Thanks!

When I've had just about enough of everything in my day, WJIB is my go to radio station. Always brought me Peace and still does all these years later! I'm amazed at how many songs and lyrics I still remember!
